Pristine Po`ipu Beach awaits you for swimming, surfing, sailing, fishing, boogie-boarding, or simply relaxing on the sun bathed white sandy beaches. For a truly awesome spectacle, stay until late afternoon and witness possibly, the most beautiful sunset in the Hawaiian Islands . Don’t forget your camera ! !

Enjoy the breath taking views over the rocky point at Makahuena. Be mesmerized by the dramatic ocean horizon as the sun sets peacefully into the clouds and ocean. It is said that Samuel Clemens once wrote: “Kaua`i is perhaps one of the most spectacular spots on earth”.

E Komo Mai! Come and stay at Makahuena #4301 and enjoy it’s true Hawaiian hospitality. Return with grand memories of a delightful vacation in paradise you will surely cherish for years to come.

Our Beautiful Hawaiian Weather Kauai is a truly an amazing place. Kauai ‘s mostly pleasant temperate weather is all year round. You may experience showers during any part of the day or night. Most times, these passing island showers go away as quickly as they come. It has been reported that Po `ipu sometimes gets only 20 to 25% precipitation, thus coined “sunny side of the island”.

Did you know? Mount Wai`ale`ale on Kauai is host to the wettest spot on Earth (with the most rainfall per year) and only a few miles away is Polihale Beach, a place that is as dry as it gets – just like a desert.

Did you know? There is even snow in Hawaii . . . on the Big Island also called Hawaii . There are no chairlifts though, so you will need to hike if you want to take advantage of the snow.
